The streamlined New Balance 530 was originally conceived as a performance shoe. It remains a cult favourite with sneakerheads, thanks to its minimalist design and luxurious suede, leather and mesh fabrication. Now, the heritage style gets a contemporary update by way of Miu Miu.
Appearing in a completely refreshed guise, this iteration sees a renewed structure with reinvented proportions. Besides featuring an ultra-flat sole, it is also super lightweight, a detail that the sneaker’s 530 SL name reflects. It is available in three variations, both offering a lived-in, aged effect.
The first pair features distressed suede in a warm, natural colour palette. While the second, in unprocessed suede and mesh, appears in classic black and white. A third pair comes in light brown. All styles come with chromatic and texture-contrasting laces in a variety of materials, including leather and sailing cord.
The New Balance X Miu Miu 530 SL sneakers will launch progressively at local boutiques, and online via the Miu Miu e-store, so stay tuned for more.
